WHY IT MATTERS

Close the security gaps that put your work at risk

We provide managed cyber security across Hampshire, covering setup, monitoring and ongoing maintenance. As your local cyber security company, we help you protect your business without hiring an in-house security specialist. We keep security tools current, review alerts and help your staff recognise threats.

The UK Government's Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2025/2026 found 43% of businesses reported a breach or attack in the previous year. For small businesses, the figure was 46%. Small firms need protection too.

Phishing remains the most common attack, often arriving as an ordinary email. The survey found only 19% of businesses had provided staff training during the same period. We help your team recognise suspicious messages and know how to report them.

  • Built for firms with no full-time IT person
  • Co-managed option for teams with in-house IT

WHAT WE MANAGE

Managed cyber security six layers of protection

One monthly service covers endpoint protection, email filtering, firewalls, multi-factor authentication, patching and staff training. Each layer addresses a different route into your business.

Endpoint protection and EDR

We install endpoint detection and response on every laptop, desktop and server. It flags suspicious behaviour as well as known viruses. It can also isolate an infected machine before ransomware spreads to shared drives.

Email security and phishing

We filter spam, malicious links and dodgy attachments before they reach your team. We also set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. These make it harder for criminals to send emails that look like they came from you.

Managed firewalls

We supply, configure and look after Fortinet FortiGate firewalls at your office. We keep firmware current, review the rules, block known bad sites and set up secure remote access for home workers.

Multi-factor authentication

A stolen password should never be enough to get into your email or files. We switch on MFA across Microsoft 365 and other business apps. Then we help each person enrol so nobody gets locked out.

Patching and updates

Attackers move quickly once a flaw is public. We push Windows, macOS and common application updates on a set schedule and chase devices that miss them. We also flag any machine too old for security fixes.

Staff awareness training

Short online lessons teach people to spot a fake invoice or login page. Training can include simulated phishing emails if you want them, so later sessions focus on the tricks that caught people out.

HOW WE START

Review your security then put the right controls in place

We review your setup, identify gaps and introduce protection in stages. We plan the rollout around your team's normal work.

01

Security review

We look at your devices, accounts, email, firewall and backups. You get a plain list of what is fine, what is weak and what needs fixing first.

02

Fix the urgent gaps

We switch on MFA, remove old accounts and unneeded admin rights, and patch anything exposed. These quick changes cut the most risk in the shortest time.

03

Roll out the layers

We deploy EDR, email filtering and firewall changes in stages. Each step is tested with your team so nobody loses access to the tools they use.

04

Monitor and review

We watch your devices around the clock and act on alerts. Reports and reviews follow a schedule agreed with you, so protection keeps pace with your business.

WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG

Know who to call and what to do during an attack

A written response plan gives your team clear steps during an attack, while monitoring helps identify trouble early. The same government survey found only 25% of businesses had a formal incident response plan. That figure fell to 21% of micro businesses.

We help you write a short plan naming who to contact and how to isolate an affected device. It also covers when to involve your insurer, the ICO or Action Fraud. Your team knows who is responsible before an incident happens.

When an alert signals a possible attack, we investigate, isolate affected devices where needed and work to remove the threat. If we also manage your backups, we can restore lost files where a clean copy is available. Our backup and continuity service helps you plan how to recover your data and resume work.

  • 24/7 monitoring of devices and security alerts
  • Containment of infected machines and compromised accounts
  • Practice runs of your plan, if you want them

HOW IT FITS

Let us manage your security or support your own IT team

Fully managed security

For firms with no IT person on staff. We run every layer, handle alerts and give your people one number to call. Security comes within our Managed IT Support plan, at a fixed monthly fee per user.

  • Joiners and leavers set up and removed properly
  • Lost laptops can be wiped remotely
  • Plain-English reports on a schedule you choose

Co-managed security

For firms with in-house IT who want specialist help. Your team keeps day-to-day control while we run the security tools, provide 24/7 monitoring and step in during an incident.

  • Shared access to dashboards and alerts
  • Agreed rules on who handles what
  • Extra hands for projects and audits

Frequently asked questions

Managed Cyber Security: your questions answered

What is managed cyber security?

Managed cyber security means an external team manages your security tools, monitoring and routine protection for a monthly fee. Our service covers endpoint protection, email filtering, Fortinet firewalls, multi-factor authentication, patching and staff training. Monitoring runs 24/7. You can contact our team Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

How is cyber security for small business different from antivirus?

Antivirus is one layer; cyber security for small business also covers emails, accounts, software updates and staff. Endpoint detection and response, or EDR, checks for suspicious device behaviour, such as files being rapidly encrypted. EDR can isolate an affected computer. Our managed service combines these tools with human review of alerts.

Do we need Cyber Essentials as well?

You may need it to meet a customer or contract requirement, or to demonstrate that you have basic security controls. Cyber Essentials covers firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection and security update management. We hold Cyber Essentials and help you put these controls in place and maintain them. Our Cyber Essentials service can support your certification and renewal.

Will security tools slow down our computers?

Security tools can affect performance, so we check how they run on your devices. We schedule scans and updates for quieter periods and plan restarts around your work. If a computer struggles, we investigate whether its age, specification or security software is contributing.

What happens if we get hacked?

We investigate and contain the affected device or account, then address how the attacker gained access. Call us straight away if you suspect an attack. If we manage your backups, we can restore data where a clean copy is available. We also help you decide whether to report the incident to the ICO, Action Fraud or your insurer.

Can we use a cyber security company alongside our IT team?

Yes, our co-managed option lets your IT team share security responsibilities with us. We manage the security tools and 24/7 monitoring while your staff handle daily support. We agree in writing which alerts we handle and which your team handles. You can also combine security with managed IT support.

Do you provide cyber security across Hampshire?

Yes, we support businesses throughout Hampshire from our Whiteley office. We cover Farnborough, Fleet, Basingstoke, Winchester, Andover, Southampton, Eastleigh, Fareham, Portsmouth and Havant. We also serve Farnham and Camberley. Most security work happens remotely, with visits when hardware needs fitting.
